Venus
Galileo discovered Venus in 1610. Venus is the hottest planet in our solar system, even though it is not the closest to the sun. Venus is named after the roman goddess of love and beauty (Aphrodite). Venus is similar to the size of Earth. Venus creates a full orbit after 243 days. There is no sign of life on Venus, because of its temperature. The reason why Venus is so hot is because Venus has a lot of clouds that keep in all of the hot air. Venus also has mountains, valleys, and thousands of volcanoes. The highest mountain on Venus is Maxwell Montes which is over 20,000 ft. tall, similar to the height of the highest mountain on Earth which is Mount Everest.
