Kepler 22B
An Earth-like planet was recently discovered. It is 600 light-years away from our solar system. It has a star, similar to our sun. If research shows that it is made out of rock, it is possible for humans to live on it. It is called Kepler 22B. scientists believe that because it looks like Earth, it may have a fair amount of water on it. Kepler 22B is larger than Earth, but it's orbit is shorter than Earth's. It takes 290 days to make a full orbit around its "sun". Its surface reaches the temperature of 72 degrees Fahrenheit, which would be a nice spring day on Earth. another reason why it would be possible for humans to live on it, is it has an atmosphere to keep in all of the air so humans and animals can survive. Kepler 22B is not the only other planet that has been discovered, there are 48 other Kepler planets that had been discovered. It is not known if humans can live on them yet.
